Lock Screen - Save Time

Teachers,

Here’s a marvelous solution for your students. When they step away from their computer but plan to return to it, they can lock that screen. This keeps them as the last active user, and they do not lose their place (working on Google Classroom with 5 active tabs). If the children sign out but plan to return right after recess, they will start from the beginning (Clever, Drive, Classroom, assignment, task, links). To redeem those wasted instructional minutes, train your students to lock those screens. [Closing the lid could achieve this same outcome as well.] Now, when the children return from recess, all they need is their password as the computer recognized that they were the last active user. The great thing? Everything that was there before they locked the screen is still active.

See the images below for help.

In the image below, (Lenovo device that is not a Chromebook) hold the windows button down and tap the letter L.

For a Chromebook, use what is called the Launcher button (hold that down) and tap the letter L.
Kindly,
Melissa Culver
