About Me

Family. When I am not on campus, you can find me spending time with a fantastic group of people I call family.  We're navigating the collegiate years, the high school years, and the junior high years all at the same time. I am thankful for my kind, generous, supportive husband who blesses me in so many ways. We enjoy the mountains and the beach. Breaking away to make memories together is a splendid blessing.

TeachingI started teaching in 2000; I have taught grades 2-8 (one year in a combo). When the children were little, we opted to homeschool them. They were in public school for several years. A few of them are homeschooling again; they started college at ages 15 and 17 (it is the dual enrollment program; college and high school completion simultaneously). Professionally, I was at the collegiate level for 9 semesters facilitating a 65-computer Technology Lab. To the classroom, I bring conventional and non-conventional teaching strategies. In 2013 my family relocated to Clovis, so I have only been in the Clovis Unified School District since 2014.
Education. In 2019, I completed a master's degree with an emphasis in teaching and learning using digital technology. In 2021, I completed one year of a doctoral program and rerouted when my children started homeschooling. I serve them 10+ hours each week as they navigate online collegiate programs: research methods and strategies, time management, goal setting, and computer skills.
